Waterfall Beautiful

The 2nd school project of the year was to paint a landscape with watercolor. I thought this would be easy but was very surprised at how challenging it was. In the end I think it turned out pretty cool.

School House

The first school project of the year was to practice with various watercolor techniques. For this project we had to choose 3 of the 6 we learned and paint anything we wanted. I chose an abstract piece I call "School House". I used the techniques "wet on wet", "wet on dry" and "crayon texture".

Campfire

4 1/2" x 6" Water Color on Aquabee Watercolor paper.
This began as an experiment in the watercolor technique "dry brush". I like how it turned out and it reminded me of a campfire.

Texture Collage

A School Art Project. I had to make many different textures with water color paint then cut out "spring" animals and plants to make a collage. I was learning the difference between "real" texture and "visual" texture.

Princess Journey

A School Art project on "shadows". I had to pick a light source and cast the shadows opposite the light source. This was a fun project.

Two Apples And An Onion

My new art project was to do a new still life. We were going to use Apples and oranges but had no oranges so my dad found an onion. It was hard to do!

Leaves

My new art project teaching me about overlapping, organic shapes and geometric shapes. The best part was going outside to find leaves to use as references!
